Hey guys, i really need your helps. Ok heres the problem. After the due of the collision ( hit the 18 wheelers, impacted the front lil, airbags went off, the driver side door is gone) , I cant use the key to unlock the door, i mean everytime i try to put the key in and turn, it wont turn and kinda stick straight up. So i gotta use the remote. The other side ( passenger side is fine). So do you guys think that i can fix this door lock thing by my own ( replacing parts) or do i need to take it to the dealer ? OR no way to fix it ?
Note: the problem occurin for the front driver door.
P.s and sorry, my English is bad.

 

Was the door replaced?

 

I really dont no, it could be replaced by the outside but not the insde or something, or the key hole thing with the handle maibe replaced ... Is there anyway to find out or to fix this ?. Thanks

 

Well if the door was replaced its possible they didnt replace your lock. You need to find out why your key isnt turning it. Pull the door panel off and see if the door is different color inside. it will tell you. Also look to see if there is any thing jambing things up.

OR

Bring it to the place that did the work and tell them that since the accident/repair you cant use the key in the lock.
