I have a 99 TL and one of the lines right at the *ABS module* above the right tire (i think thats what its called) is constantly leaking, it has been tightened completely but still leaks. And the brakes are working a lot less effectively, pedal presses down twice as far as before! any idea's what needs to be done exactly and how much this will cost me?? Thanks.

the obvious answer would be to replace the line that is leaking, then bleed the brakes.

Apparently the fitting is possibly stripped or worn and needs to be replaced.

and hope the threads & hole on the ABS unit itself are OK.

First thing to do is STOP driving the car. Its very dangerous having a leaking brake line with reduced braking. Bring it to a brake shop and have them see if it needs a new line/fitting and rebleed the brakes.

Yeah, ya never want to compromise your car's effective braking power......as it could end up being a factor in jeopardizing someone's life at the wrong time and place.
