Buying Warranty on Pre-Certified

I bought a pre-certified Acura from Acura of Seattle. The factory bumper to bumper warranty expires in May of 08. Because it is pre-certified, it comes with 1 year, 12K extended warranty. The finance lady talked to us about the after market 4 year 48 or 50K warranty as well, and I bought it.

After thinking about it, since it's factory and precertified warranty cover me until May of 09, I just paid for a 4 year warranty that really only gives me two years of coverage. I paid $1375 plus tax for it...I got an employee discount (I am not an employee) and $500 was taken off because it's pre-certified.

I asked about it and the lady (who I will never deal with again) said that yes, I am paying for a 4 year warranty that only covers me for two years but that she explained to me VERY CAREFULLY and I signed it anyways.

So bottom line and I'm kind of rambling I guess, I paid for a 4 year warranty but I'm only getting 2 years of coverage.

Your explanation explains it. She said 4 years to make the cost sounds good, but she knows she is only covering you for 2 years.

But, tt depends on what coverage you have with them. some of the items are not covered by the manufacturer warranty.
