my front bumper rebar mounts where shredded in a accident. Do you think i could get a junk yard to cut a pair off a 99_03 tl or accord. bumber bar mounts? then i can get mine welded off and weld the new ones. this is the best idea i can come up with to fix it? any advice on if junk yards will even bother to saw em or weld em off. please and thanks!

 

its the `auto dismantler` yard choice to do it --it there is money to be made....

call a few in town and see if any correct years are available
they may do the install for you too!

whats a real body shop think about the plan?
can they order new ones, or salvage a set off something for you?

 

I was able to get a rear rebar - unused one, at a local JDM auto parts store. It cost me around 90$ CAD ( $80 + 13% tax) for it.

You could then get it fixed at a local mechanic shop if you want to avoid the hassle.
