Last week, the driver's side interior door handle broke off in my hand as I was exiting my 2003 Acura TL.

I called the dealership and they said they would order a new handle for me: $62. They said that they would install it for another $62.

I have a limited amount of tools available right now and I'm tempted to just pay the money to have it installed, but I was wondering if there is some guide to this job that will make it easy. It can't be too bad if they would charge me $62 for labor.

 

I have the same problem. For what its worth, I wanted to take the handle out, and drill some holes in both parts, glue and try to repaint or something to that effect.

 

Check the online parts sources for better prices on a replacement handle.
Ya may even want to check with your local auto recycling yard. Acura and Honda may have some interchangeable parts, IDK, but worth a shot !

 

Below is a link to the parts list for the front door of your '03. The company is OEM Acura Parts...they are actually Acura of Peoria in Arizona but they have OEM parts for WAY cheaper than you can buy them at the dealership or anywhere else. I have used them multiple times and they are great!

To do replace the door handle, its EXTREMELY easy and all you need is a philips screwdriver. I tried to take a screen capture of how to do it from the shop service manual but it will not let me upload it. So, if you know how to or would like me to send it to you a different way, let me know!

I can also probably explain it to you step by step, if nothing else works.
