Brake Light stays on

Hello AcuraZine users,

I purchased my 2003 Acura TL in July and never had a problem until one night when I got off work. I started my car like always, only this time I forgot that I had the breaks on. I put the car in drive and tried to go forward, but obviously didn't get far. I immediately noticed that my breaks were on at that point. I took the break off and drove away. As I was driving I noticed that my break light was still on. After I had driven about 15 mins and exited the highway the light turned off. Now everytime I get in my car the break light stays on until I've driven a while then will turn off again.

Can anyone help me figure out why break light stays on then randomly turns off?

It was an easy fix - didn't know about the TSB though. Thought it was something in the cap. I think I replaced the cap & filter ..... ? Anyhow, something like that and it was fixed.

I was not aware of that docs info,,
all the more reason to flush the brake fluid every year, clean the screen or replace
and ck cap wires and float movement

most often in here- its a bad master cyl cap,,cracked, or terminal problem
float itself sticking,,flip cap over with key on to test that part

yes you read that right- flush brake fluid every year! 3 years MAX between flushes
