Brake Clicks???

I have an interesting problem that I wonder if any of you have had, or heard of:

2000 TLP car-
This seems to happen when I shift from backing up to moving forward. I really only notice it when Im leaving my house from my parking spot - It happens other times but this is when I always hear it.

From moving back, to moving forward and then getting to my intersecting street, 20 yards away and having to break - when I brake I hear 3-4 independent little clicks. Like a cartoon crab snapping a claw - kind of clicks. And I would swear it was my calipers or something in the likes of my pads being loose in some way. I had a caliper kit put on, and it still does it. Doesn't seem to be bad, and the car has F'n awesome brakes! And its been doing it since I've owned the car, never gets better, never gets worse. Faint little clicks, 4 of em... One on each wheel....

Any ideas???

Same thing here benny.

I believe its the pad and shims shifting forward and back in the caliper, but I could be wrong. had always happened to me too.

Make sure to grease the caliper slide plates on the main bracket and unthreaded part of the bolts, and the pads on the end where the little tabs are, and of course where the caliper piston contact the pad backing plate and on the outside pad- where the 2 fork pieces touch the pad back- - thats where you get the movement you describe- grease those too, use only brake caliper grease
