I was thinking about just wet-sanding from 800 to about 2500. What grits do you use and what polish other products do you guys suggest? Thanks!

 

I wet sanded them with 600, 1000, 2000, 3000 and 5000. Then you need a plastic polishing compound to remove the haze and reveal the luster. If you don't seal them with a clear coat paint, then expect to repeat this process within a year.

 

I heard toothpaste works pretty good too

 

Rain-X makes a "Headlight Restoration Kit" that they sell at Advance Auto Parts for $20. I got two uses out of mine. It looks almost like new.

Interesting idea about the clear-coat paint, tho.
