Best ATF to keep trans in top shape?
Best ATF to keep trans in top shape?
I am very new to these Acuras and a day old with my 2002 with 210K miles on her. I want to change the trans fluid but Im not sure what the best process is and what to put in her.
Can someone recommend what I should do? SHould I just use Honda ATF? Or is there something that works better to keep my 3.2L going well?
thanks

Uhh, 210k? Don't touch the fluid unless you have a service history. If the fluid hasn't been changed in ~100k, then you might end up killing it with an ATF exchange. I wouldn't even try a 1x3.
I would take a 3 ounce sample drain of the atf and send to blackstone labs for analysis
find out how old it is, and how many good or bad things are floating around inside the trans before messing with the fluid
