Battery Grounding Strap? ? is it?

My battery is dead and i'm trying to jump start it. The manual refers to a grounding strap to which the negative jumper clamp should be affixed. For the life of me I can't find it and the manual's diagram is more confusing then helpful. Any thoughts?

Just look for any steel to attach the ground to.Follow the negative cable from the battery for one, or there is a small strap going from the trans to the frame just below and to the right of the batter (standing by the passenger fender)
If all else fails just use the battery for the ground. just be careful when attaching cables to the battery so that the other end not attached doesnt contact each other or something else
