Barely made it to the shop

2 years and 40,000 miles and this is the first problem i experienced, which isnt bad, and was still able to drive (slowly to my shop)

Turns out my engine was shaking very hard, and hard excel. its the spark plugs and coils that need to be replaced. My engine was mis-firing in 3 cylinders, so for a little bit i had a V3 Type S lol.

i will get the bill tommorw

Current read is 90,000 on my 02 TLS.

Im going to try to keep it under till 100,000 mi. and sell it then before tranny, timing belt and water pump all explode lol.

looking into S500, G35, 540i, FX35.

Word.. a 6 pack of coils is about that much. Allen wrench and about an hour is all you would have needed to change them.

It would be nice to change them myself but lets face it, i dont have a garage and i live in nyc and its cold out here, coils alone cost 62 dollars each and spark plugs arent cheap either, and the ones in the rear or a serious bitch to get to.

They ran the diagnostic test when i first got there and 2,3, &5 were mis firing. The entire engine and car was shaking pretty bad especially at low RPM and smelled pretty bad. The check engine light first came on, the the VSA and then the ! started to display, i thought the car was going to blow up lol. It was pretty scary.

Coils can be had for about 45. And could have been done in a driveway in 20 min or so.
