Ballast replacement

May daughters 2002 Acura TL right HID light went out, i got an OEM bulb and replaced it but it seems as when she turns the head lights only one light comes on, some times. Some times the left one comes on and some times only the right head light comes on. She has to turn on the head light switch on and off until they both come one. Reading in the forums that it sounds like a Ballast, I found one on rockauto, a DORMAN 601127 I don't know much about the brand. I would like to just stay as close to OEM as possible. The one at rock auto doesn't come with an Igniter, if it doesn't cost to much i would like to replace that as well. Anyone have any recommendations as to were i can get an Igniter for my daughters car that will fit the DORMAN 601127?

The OEM ballasts are

You should go with a quality aftermarket item: https://www.theretrofitsource.com/ma...epair-kit.html

It includes a pigtail so you don't need to cut your exisiting wiring.

Really the OEM are crap. Does what my daughters car sound like it's the ballast?
Thanks for the link, it's interesting so this kit is for both left and right.

Yeah it sounds like a failed ballast , generally I'd recommend OEM but for these ballasts, they were very prone to failure so the general consensus is to go aftermarket OEM.

I trust TRS products and have used them for years. Yes it comes with both sides: ballasts, igniters, and bulbs (make sure you pick D2R) and pigtails so that you don't have to cut wiring. It's a great price for a quality product

I usually try to say OEM as much as i can and afford.
Are the following ok?

HID Ballasts / Wattage - 35w / D2S: Morimoto XB Ballast
Compatible Hid Bulbs - D2R: XB 4500K
Ballast Wiring Adapters - Matsushita Male>9006 female.
