Hi, I recently got a 2002 Acura TL Type S with 167k miles. I am expecting to do the AV6 swap when the transmission goes. Is there any advice you guys have for me? All I know is to swap over some sensors (not sure which) to the accord transmission from the acura's, along with the shifter linkage. I'm planning on doing it myself as a mechanic would be too expensive but I have no experience in anything like this. Currently it has a rear main seal leak which I'm having fixed, along with an engine leak that a mechanic said was coming from the crankshaft seal.

Other questions are: how long will the swap last, and should I have the new transmission rebuilt by a transmission shop just to be safe before installing? (I will be asking more as time goes on, not very knowledgeable in this at all)
