Auto-Tilt Side View: Mind of it's own
Ok I have searched the forum to see if anyone else has had this problem, or have a solution. I have found similar situations, but none like mine. Like some others my side view will tilt down in reverse, sometimes tilt back up. In some cases it doesn't tilt down, but then tries to re-center itself and it goes all the way up. This began to annoy me, so I went with the simplest approach... to simply turn off the feature by not having it set to the middle. However, whether the switch is on the left, middle, right, doesn't matter when I switch my car to reverse my side view is tilting one way or another. I also tried re-setting my seat and mirror positions a few times, but it doesn't seem to get back to the positions once I go into to reverse. Anyone know what part I need to replace?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Yeah I had the same problem with my TL and the dealer gave me the run around and they couldnt replicate the problem when it was at the dealership so basically long story short my lease was up and got rid of the car. Sorry no solution though.
Thanks for the reply. Unforunately my car is way out of warranty, so that is not an option. If anyone has any help or experience, I would greaty appreciate it. I'd hate to have to replace the whole mirror, but if thats what needs to be done...I'd like to change it myself.
Thanks
Thanks
I haven't heard any other replies, and is hoping someone out there knows the solution to my issue.
If I have to replace the whole mirror, does anyone know an estimate of cost?
Thanks for any help you may have...the mirror is really annoying me, but I hate going to the dealer (they annoy me more).
