APEXi WS2 installed, now I get CEL
After having a custom Invidia catback on my car for over a year, I got sick and tired of setting off every alarm I drive by and shelled out cash for the APEXi WS2.
The WS2 is much quieter than the Invidia's which I was pleased with. What I wasn't pleased with was the fact that the fitment of the WS2 was... well pretty crappy. I mean the system is like $600 shipped and when I had the shop bolt it up, it hung completely uneven. Had to have the shop re-weld the mufflers to align it correctly.
Anyway, that's not the problem. Now I have the CEL (Check engine light) on. I'm assuming that the shop put too much stress on the cat when they unbolted they were trying to take off the old exhaust and damaged the o2 sensor.
I already ordered a rear o2 sensor, but was wondering, should I go ahead and replace the front o2 sensor too?
Also, I have 80k miles on my 03 TL-S, is it time to replace the cat as well?
Thanks in advance.

^^ I agree. Why waste money on a shot in the dark? OBDII provides easy diagnostics. It will tell you whether it's the front or rear O2 sensor. Or it could just be something totally unrelated and the timing happened to be the same.
Get it scanned. Most auto parts stores will scan it for free.

Well, I got the codes pulled. Couldn't find any place in Orange County that would do it for free, so I paid $20 bucks.
Code p0141 - Secondary O2 sensor heater circuit.
Looks like my intuition was correct.

And yes, I would replace both sensors. Got pics?
