Anyone Heard of this little problem.

This problem is not really a big deal but kind of annoying. The light that lights up the set of d4, d5, n, p, ect. by the gear shift. When i turn on my lights it remains dark unless i give it the Fonz. One light tap & the light is fixed until the next time i use my lights. Anyone else heard of this annoying problem?

Dale,

Sounds like the bulb is either going bad or it is loose in the socket. I had to replace the buld in the wife's TL. It involves removing the center console and shift cover. Took about an hour the first time. I had a bit of trouble finding the correct bulb, the first one I found looked like the right size, but was a tad to large to correctly fit in the socket.

That is the place. One has to stay out of the Walmart, Kmart and the mall.

Mine does the exact same thing. I figured it was a loose connection. I'm not really worried about it and I sure don't have the time to fix it. I just tap it when it doesn't come on.
