Any Way to Check Ignition Switch & Duralast Replacement Any Good?

Hey people, my cars has been losing power while driving around, the Acura dealership doesn't have an ignition switch in stock, and they also informed me that they won't accept a return of the part, even if it's unopened in its wrapping! Is there any way I can make sure my old one is bad?
Also, I found a Duralast one at the Zone for almost the same price as the dealership one; is Duralast okay to use for this? I mean, doesn't the Acura replacement have major problems anyway?
(My ignition switch was changed like 4 yrs ago, with the ignition switch recall.)

Thanks!
