Alarm Problems

Last night my alarm in my 2001 TL started going off at 3:00 am for no reason. My wife went out & put the key in, hit the button on the remote, etc & it would stop for a few seconds and then start beeping again. It was even beeping when I was driving it. I finally had to just pull the battery. This morning when I hooked it back up, no alarm, but I am afraid to leave the battery connected tonight.

Any ideas or suggestions? Thx in advance

I had this problem once, i just redid the FOB remote, just clicked it twice and it stopped. I believe it was triggered by something loose in the wire or something was like disturbing the mechanisms. Your chances are, you should take it to a dealer and tell them wassup, maybe its a faulty alarm system, or maybe something else. So you should like redo your code for your alarm, if it don't work then take it to the dealer.

P.S: For a funny fact, my friend who had this problem finnally figured out what happened. The story is, his brother woke up and pressed the panic button frequently for a prank. Made my friend do all this stuff to find out and everything. SO maybe someones toying with you lol. But the chances are, who knows! Just go get it checked out if you can't figure it out.

Mistalogan, how did you redo the remote? Did you mean just clicking it or taking it apart?

Nope, i meant you reactavate it. Like go into your chair, put the key in 3rd, press the lock 3 times, or something like that, you should get a confirmation beep.
