Aftermarket Low Beam Ballast Question

Aftermarket Low Beam Ballast Question
I need to replace one of my stock OEM ballasts, and I was wondering if aftermarket kits wire right up to the stock harness or if you needed some type of adapter. I've added HID fogs my self but I wasn't sure if the stock ballast had a different type of connection. Thanks in advance!

you cut the oe connector off the 2 power leads at the connector behind housing
splice in 2 new wires from ballast or use connectors from parts store
www.hidextra.com has awesome pricing for full kits 59$!!!!
2 ballast- ignitors and bulbs
mount ballast on side of frame rail
do it once and be done with it is my feeling

my ballast burned out and i've got an aftermarket ballast($20) and wire($5) that goes to the bulb. Kept the bulb though. But instead of cutting a plug i've made an adapter, so it can easily be unplugged if needed.

when you make adapters you increase the resistance in the wire feed
thats why we cut them and splice direct together and solder
or
in the case of hidextra- it comes with spade connector on ballast wires
go to parts store and buy other half
I dont know why its not included~
many use the side of frame rail for ballast mount and secure with large zip ties
several together if needed
its not going anywhere then!
I slid extra wire from ballast to bulb under the light housing and secured with zip ties
stock bulbs are due based on age-hours of use
they have lost color and brightness--you will see when new bulbs do get installed

exactly I cut the 2 wires going to connector of stock ballast
then spliced and soldered together
You can use push together connections, buy at parts store
its really simple to do this job
