After the car is fixed.
So my car was wrecked on December 18, 2005. I got it back January 25, 2006. It seemed like for the most part a half assed job. Pretty disappointed in the over all quality of the fix. The body work was done well for the most part, but my car came back to me with more interior problems Than I had before hand. The passenger door was mounted crooked so I had to take that in and have it straightened and it is still hanging a little crooked. The front bumper does not look like it is mounted properly, but I really can't tell. As for the interior, whoever did the suspension work decided it would be a great idea to put the tires and rims they took off of the car in my back LEATHER seat, so now there are imprints of the tire all across the back seat and the front seats and floor matts look gross and the same with the back. They also forgot to get rid of all the yellow tape the put on the car for painting....Don't know if i will be going back to these guys in the future for more work. Luckily they have agreed to take care of the back seat. Sorry for the huge rant, but just had to let somebody know.
Thanks guys, Ryan C.

Sorry to hear that man. You never take the car to a boy shop without reference. Most of them will do bad jobs. They will mess it up more when bring it back. The first thing you want to see on the contract is to make sure they use only OEM parts. They will try to adjust here and there until you are tired of it; they are not going to do anything more than what they already did. I can see body shop can fix dents and do a good repaint job, that is what they were trained to do. But, putting things back together is not their goal. they just shove everything back regardless how things look, and all they care is just how the paint looks and color matching. IMO, to deal with this issue, you must have a second car to begin with.

Jeez... that sounds like what happened to me at Joe Hudson's Collision Center in Montgomery, Alabama. To this day I think they fucked up my car more than I did in my accident... and they kept it for 4 monthes! After my accident I was plagued with mechanical problems, and I finally broke down and sold my 99 and got an 02. All that was done to the car was slap on a new front bumper, and front fenders, and all new suspension. But they ended up paying for a new head gasket after they missed the fact that my radiator was leaking. If you start having problems with your car, I might suggest looking into getting a newer TL. Of course that in itself could be just opening up another can of worms.
