Sorry I am a noob but what is acura care I see other members giving out this number to call, and I tried to call and the number did not work. Is this like an extended warranty for our acuras? Does it cost anything? What are the benefits?

acura care is free and all owners need to register there
They keep track of current owner- so WHEN a recall is issued- you get a card in the mail
They can help you with cars history of warranty repair before you got it
and ck recalls are completed,,any special extended warranty still in effect and more
They handle complaints about dealer service and warranty probs,,but most of us are well past any warranty

the website has a place to safely store the radio/nav security codes
so you dont lose them,,, and on a road trip when the battery dies, you go online and look up the codes,,,tunes restored = trip saved!

 

There is a recent recall for airbag inflator,,,register and find out if you are part of VINs in need,,the online site has a recall section in your account
but I always verify with the 800 if something is not listed for me

recalls are always important safety items and are free to you, the customer.
the airbag is deploying too fast and can cause serious injury or death to driver
As if those things didnt pose enough hazard!!
