2002 Acura tl. When I took it to the mechanic to change the blower he said not to touch the controls or the cold ac would stop working . Kinda had to since it was cold as a mother trucker. Just as it sounds, ac will stay running, I'll press the off button and it's still on, temperature does not change but it does let me adjust the Fahrenheit control 60-90 still stays at like room temperature I guess, and I can't control the fan speed. Don't know much of cars so if there's any information needed that I left out, let me know.

 

Sounds like whoever you took it to ghetto rigged it. The blower motor is known to stop working due to a few different things. Its super easy to get to and fix under the glovebox.. There are several threads about this and even a DIY video on youtube. Good luck.
