ABS/VSC Lights are ON

(02 TL-S 106k) I need some help to T/S my ABS/VSC issue. The warning lights come on and stay on as long as I'm driving. Sometimes, I can drive for 2-3 miles before they light up if they are not already on.
A local auto shop wants $90.00 for a computer diagnostic. I tried each wheel sensor and got some AC voltage when I turned the wheel. So, I guess the sensors work from the wheels to the first connectors.
Now what?

The four parts stores near me do not perform free scanning of ABS systems, and most do not have the proper equipment. As for the car's condition, ALL service items are up to date including the timing belt (by me). This is the only issue I'm concerned with. I need to find out which connector pins go to the individual sensors, so I can test for broken/grounded wires.

look at the front wheel speed sensors and their rings- most often that the problem

a specialty brake shop can get the codes and diagnosis for you
remember codes are clues.. not diagnosis

the parts store refused to even ck the codes?

I pulled all the sensors, cleaned and checked them. I was able to easily get some current by hand-turning the rear wheels; however, the front wheels barely registered current (but with the same value on each) with hand-turning. I know the resistance is different from front to rear, so I assume that accounts for the difference in voltage.
The brake shops will charge for anything besides just looking at your brakes. I am going to pull the front wheels and clean the rings and see what happens.
In the meantime, I'll shop for a reasonable diagnostics charge.
