ABS & TCS light comes on
ABS & TCS light comes on
I have a 2001 Acura TL, and the ABS and TCS lights periodically comes on, both at the same time. I had a mechanic take a look at it, and told me it was my rear-Passenger-side ABS sensor. So I bought the sensor and replaced it. It was good for about a week, and then the lights started popping up again, but this time it seems to only come on, after driving over 15miles.
What could be the problem?
Is there a way to check which sensor is the real problem?
Is there a way that I can check it myself, without having to go to the stealership?

Gotta a 99 TL with the same problem, I recall a while back this thing start and I had the battery replace and then the lights never light up again! but now it a couple of years and the lights are on again. If I rap the engine at start up the lights might not come on! Also if I make a short trip like a few miles and on the return trip with in an hour the lights will not come on! It weird but its happening this way. If you want to try this, you can leave the car park for 24 hours & + and check the voltage at the battery terminal, it should read 12.6 V minimal if not, it might be the battery! I'm going to try this out myself and see, but I'm almost driving this car everyday. So I might not get the chance soon.
^ What does letting the car sit for 24hrs have to do with any thing??? The battery wouldnt cause this problem.
Plain and simple, Bring it somewhere to get the codes read. Once you get the codes you will know what to fix. Other wise you are just guessing and randomly fixing parts that may not be needed. It could be something as simple as a wheel speed sensor or on the extreme the abs modulator.

Took the TL to another mechanic, and told me that it is reporting two problems.
-RR (right rear) wheel speed sensor circuit problem
-RR wheel pulser problem.
I've already change out the abs sensor, so my best bet is the ABS modulator needs to be replaced?
