99 Tl Enging into 01 Coup TL Type-S
Hey guys bad new's totaled my 99 TL sedan.
GOOD NEW's Engine and Transmission are in great condition, with only a 100k miles.
I'm low on cash, but I found an 01 TL Type-S Coup 6speed automatic with a blown motor for like a grand.
Can I slap my TL engine into the this vehicle without doing the transmission as well? Or do I need to swap both. Are their any problems I may encounter?
What are your thoughts and do you have any tip's or suggestions?

6speed automatic.
They changed the trans in 2000. You have a 4speed in the 99. The 2000 had a 5speed. I believe if you will have to swap engine, trans, and ECU for it to work properly.
