My wipers are no longer stopping where they should to make a nice clean wipe. They are going too far off the windshield and then slamming down at the base of the windshield. The guy at the local auto parts store said it sounded like my wiper transmission was worn out. Does that sound right. If so, what is involved changing it out?

common problem that's easily fixed.

two arms inside the motor need to be replaced, about 70$ in parts and 1 hour in taking things apart and back togeather..

do i search, i think there are pics of it too.

Yes - it's an easy fix and it'll really make you feel good the next time it rains.

Yes, easy fix. And OHHHH what a difference it will make. Just search and you will find lots of posts on how to do this simple job. The end caps (plastic) fail. I paid about $52.00 for both arms and replaced them in about 30 mins.

I bought the arms ($52+shipping) and will try to get them installed within the next week. Thanks to all of you for your help on this.
