would not surprise me that removal of the rear seat and deck is required

popping the rear seat out is simple diy
its 2 light pieces, and maybe 6 semi hidden bolts
shock change diy will show you how- have to raise the rear deck to reach the upper strut bolts

well--i figured it out

all ya have to do is open the trunk and take the 2 bulbs out then the 3rd brake light assembly just pops right off

i honestley think the guy at the tint shop was fuckin lazy that day and didnt feel like taking the old tint off so he can re-tint the rear window

anyway---its done

he may not have known,,or figured it was worth something extra to climb in the trunk

its not difficult to safely remove the rear tint and not damage the defroster
Steam method works pretty well

yea it actually is difficult to remove the tint----i used a steamer to remove the tint from the side windows and no matter how you do it---theres still gonna be that film left on the window

i wud honestley feel more comfortable just paying sum1 to do it

i dont have patience for that shit

steam on the side glass? I used a heat gun and pulled it right off my car

there are vids of rear steaming with wet towel and heat to protect the defroster

the residue film is glue and comes right off with rubbing alchohol..
for anyone else needing to safely diy this job

yea steam on side glass----its the easiest way to do it

tear the tint off 1st then use the steamer and a razor blade to get the glue off----it took me honestley like 4 minutes a window---then clean it up with sum window cleaner and yer good to go

its kinda funny to------the next day at the detail shop i manage a black volve C-70 came in to get the tint taken off and i did it the same exact way---just weird how it happen the next day ya know

ANYWAYYY-----just got home from the tint shop and its all good-----my car looks alot better with black windows now

are they legal that dark there? just the rear 3 or all the windows?

my rear 3 are pretty dark,(used to be all 5), dark enough to be thankful for electric rear windows
-only way to see decent backing out in the dark,,roll down a window!
unless brighter HID reverse lights go in....the modding...it never stops~

and yea---i plan on doin the HID reverse lights this month

just like you---the modding never stops man----its honestley a hobbie for me and i love it

i love it more when i store it in the winter and work on it-----sum people here think im crazy that i take my car apart to clean it---but thats what i do---i detail cars for a living----my shit is always spotless
