2003 Acura TL TypeS

Help! Does anyone have a quick solution to a climate control that doesn't produce any heat at all? The A/C works great, however, when I turn it up to heat with the A/C off, it does not blow heat at all. There is a clicking sound coming under the glove box when the A/C is turned on, and then stops clicking after approximately 2 minutes. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Is it blowing any air at all or does it just not work when the heat is on?

We have this issue described with pictures in the forum, if you try to search you will find it. It will be a replacement of a small part. the clicking sound comes from that plastic gear part underneath the radio on the passenger side. You can try to reach in there and guide it, so the tiny metal rod can open the coolant valve. Trace the metal rod through the firewall and you will see the valve in the engine compartment.

start with the heater core valve in the engine area, at firewall
wd40 the mechanism

if that doesnt fix it, move to mix motor door operation, mix motor operation in dash
scroll thru this section or use search
