2003 Acura TL-S Headlight Issue + Odometer Lights
2003 Acura TL-S Headlight Issue + Odometer Lights
My driver side headlight always will flip on, but my passenger light rarely does. I have to flip off and on the headlight switch multiple times to finally get the passenger one to turn on. Once it's on, it will stay on, but I'd obviously like to have them working and fully functional. Mechanic is saying it might be the headlight ballast, anyone have any idea or fixes? I was thinking checking out deeper into the connections, maybe replacement bulb, etc.
Side issue. I am also noticing that when I turn on the car, my odometer lights shine brightly most of the time, but as they are on for longer they slowly begin to become faded and splotchy progressively. Anyone had the same issue maybe and might know of any fixes?

Jonah.r7,
I would go with the ballast or ignitor is going. When you replace either a ballast or ignitor you should replace both the ballast and the ignitor at the same time. If you replace only one and the other is bad it can destroy the new part. So I highly recommend that both are replaced at the same time. Do a quick check on the wiring to make sure you have the same voltage at light. Pull the plugs and measure with a voltmeter, you are looking for around 12vDC.
I bought the following last March and they are working fine.
