2000 tl ashtray remove

I need to access the obd11 connector on my 2000 TL

No need to remove ashtray. Just pull the cover off. The cover is in between the seat warmer switches an the bottom of the console. You can see the outline of the hatch inside the sunken in try area. Just wiggle and pull it out/off.
