I just wanted to throw this up, the forum was very helpful in diagnosing. 2001 TL, 140,000 miles with immaculate service records. Started throwing CEL with TCS this morning, Code P1399.
Seafoam- still rough idle and shaking.
Disconnected coil packs one at a time and found the culprit. $45 for the pack, reset the code and good to go! Thanks for the forum.

 

congrats on a find and fix!
At that mileage you are probably ready for new spark plugs -should have been replaced at 60-70kmiles,,or at the 105 service --(was your 105/timing belt-water pump job done?)
use NGK plugs --8 bucks each
accept no subsitutes!
I dont care what the parts kid says `will fit` and for only 1 dollar!!

repeat seafoam in gas 1 can to just under half tank
carb cleaner on TB air plate
Replace 5 dollar PCV valve at rear valve cover

You are also overdue for the `egr port and passage cleaning` of the inside of the intake manifold,,(not just egr valve cleaning) easy diy under 2 hours,, with breaks..needed every 75kmiles and not in service book,,special ziner knowledge~
that causes a lot of engine roughness

 

OK guys i had this issues last night. Was about to go to the club too so f#$k that sucked. drove it back home and stayed home for the night. went to Autozone and purchased 1 coil pack and 6 spark plugs. Removed #1 or 1st front left coil pack and replaced with new coil pack PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I went ahead and changed all spark plugs, it was due anyway. Runs like a champ again. Love my Acura. HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Thanks to all the guys on Acurazine. You guys always save my ass from spending tonnes of money. big up Acurazine
