I have a 2000 TL with 310,000 miles.
Sometimes it wont start even though it does turn over.
the problem has happened after I drove to the gas station to fill up or leaving the supermarket after 1/2 hour.
If I let it sit after not starting for 1-3 minutes it will start on the first turn.
The only trouble code I get is the Evaporator Canister and this has been on for years, I just turn it off with the code reader.
The battery, spark plugs and alternator are 1 year old.
3 Ignition Coils were replaced.
Seafoam was done 3 months ago.
Thanks in advance

1 year old parts can fail too! stop by a parts store for the free system testing on battery, starter and alt output
Short trips- under 15 minutes don't give the battery time to fully recharge after starting the car. Then asking it to repeat the task with lower amps doesn't always work
there is a know problem with hot start situations like yours, ck the DIY list
Or
Who has the thread link to the parts needed, a fuel pump relay possibly?
why were 3 coils replaced- it threw multi cyl misfire codes? plugs replaced then?

I may do the other 3 now.

I am having the same issue and have googled a lot on the topic. A few others have suggested the following 2 remedies - Replace the MAP sensor near the TB and also clean the IAC (Idle Air control) valve... The other one being talked about is Winter Gas.... Quite frankly, I have not had one clear solution and many have reported the problem. Battery, Spark Plug and Coil changes doesn't seem to make it go away.
will you stop oogling things and look in here more!!
RARE is the definition of a MAP failure for us
COMMON is the clogging of the egr path inside the intake manifold
It needs to be cleaned every 75kmiles, and not found in any maintenance schedule
also ck the PCV on rear valve cover for sticking ball inside
you clean the IACV when intake is removed and TB comes off with it- on bottom/inside of TB is the iacv

^^^ Yeah, just try cleaning the TB intake.....EGR passageways and IAC valve.
Also, have the electrical system load tested and check connections & grounds.
Check the previous threads on the subject for more pertinent info for the real fix.
