2000 TL Overheating
Greetings. I recently started having issues with my 2000 TL overheating. First I realized that the drivers side fan stopped working so I replaced that. The fan works now, but it still overheats after about an hour driving in the city, and also the fan keeps running after I shut the engine off which never happened before. I also replaced the thermostat and the fan control switch located on the thermostat housing, as well as new coolant and burping the system. I am now out of ideas. Any insight is appreciated. Thank you.

Hmmm, if ya replaced the cooling fan, ECT thermosensor switch, thermostat and burped the cooling system...what's left ?
IDK, Try pressure checking the system and replace the rad cap ??? Perhaps the radiator is restricted or the water pump is faulty ?
Any other relevant issues that may have just surfaced recently ?

Usually auto parts stores will let you borrow a combustion gasses kit.
You should let your car run, cover your exhaust with your palm and let moisture collect on your hand. If it has a green tint or smells sweet, coolant is being burned, which is either a warped head (unlikely unless you seriously over heated your car) or a head gasket.
Though, TLs aren't really known for head gasket failure, but I suppose anything could happen.
Best of luck, and keep us updated.

Was going to suggest having the radiator pressure tested cap and to check your cap. Glad you got it figured out.
