2000 Acura TL - Passenger seat problem
The power seat on my wife's 2000 Acura 3.2 TL does not move forward or back or up or down. The back of the seat does work properly. The seat was stopped in what I believe was the full back position so I had to take it loose in order to get the switch panel off. I first looked at the fuse and it appears to be OK. I then looked at the wiring harness and everything seems to be OK there. I did notice what I think is a coke stain on the floor under the seat. I believe a coke may have frozen and exploded. There does not appear to be any stain on the wiring. The problem started in the summer so it may not be related to the coke. I believe that it is likely to be the switch. I pulled the fuse on the drivers side seat and it emulates the passenger side problem. I took the switch apart but there was no apparent way to test it or fix it. Question: is there a way to check the switch without first having to buy one? Is there someway to bypass the switch to see if the motor works? Any ideas as to a solution? Thanks.

Did you try switching fuses just to rule it out

Yes....I actually replaced all of the 20 amp fuses on that block. Several looked discolored but not broken so I bought a new box and just replaced them all. Thanks.
The passenger seat on my wife's Acura does not move back and forth or up or down. It does tilt back and forth. I believe it is the switch but need some idea how to check it or check the motor(s). Does anyone know how to test the switch or have a wiring diagram. I have loosened the seat and removed the switch. Thanks.

Use a multimeter to test continuity with the switch.
