Cool 1999 Acura transmition problem? PLEASE HELP

Hello...
I have a 1999 acura tl, and I am not sure if there is problem with my tranmisition, or the TL is like this. When I drive my tl i can feel the transmition is shifting gear, and it is not like really big held back, it's just a little held back (when i am not using the tip-tronic). Also, when I go really slow, the transmition is shifting to second gear, I can hear the transmition shifting the gear like ,!Ka!. (BTW, i used to drive sentra, and it is a small car, and it didn't had these symptom) I just wandering if it is natural for TL to do that or there are problems with my transmition.

Thank you very much

I kinda get the same thing. From a stop, i start to drive and i can feel the car kinda jerk when it shifts first to second but its not a strong jerk but i can definatly feel the car shifting. and when i roll to a complete stop, i can feel the car jump a tiny bit right before i brake to a complete stop. im not sure if this is normal but i just wanted to add to your post.

hey hey, this is completely normal. What you're feeling is the transmission downshift as it comes to a stop because it keeps the car in gear to help it slow down. I was wondering the same thing and one day noticed my RPMs were lowering as I was braking. Anyway, if you move your foot right on the brake when you're slowing down you can pretty much eliminate it completely. I've almost got it down to an art.
