03 trans in kit car wont shift above 2nd gear

re-posting as separate thread >>>
I purchased a '03 3.2 TL engine & tranny with 34k miles on it for a CUSTOM installation in my Attack K1 kit car [go to http://s47.photobucket.com/albums/f180/duxdenver/Attack%20K-1%20Spyder%20Build/ for some pix of my build ]. After getting all the TL's wiring installed in this car it started right up but will only shift from 1st gear to second but no higher!!!! D5 starts to blink & P0780 is the only code I get!!! Shifts back down to 1st gear OK when slowing down, but no higher shifts than Second gear thru 35MPH!! Has the oil jet mod installed & the fluid is free of any debris [no clutch pack failures per some other threads... ??]; VIN shows it was from a car w/later trans than recall/warranty. The tranny also shifts 'hard' when first engaging the shifter to D5 the first time......... & FYI> the ABS & TCS lights are also ALWAYS lit up on the dash [I don't have any ABS systems but DO have the ABS control unit still hooked up w/one wheel sensor feeding all 4 input signals just in case the ECM needed them]. Have a complete 1999-2003 TL wiring trouble shooting manual, so have seen a feew wiring issues that may have the need for this wiring {??!!}. Have manually 'stroked' all of the Shift Solenoids [12v power at PCM connection; hear them 'click'], so I assume they are functioning all right.
Does anyone re-program these PCM for deletion of ABS & SRS systems like I have done w/my install? i did not think it was needed, but maybe they effect the PCM's control of the tranny??
Assistance appreciated in advance...
Any suggestions?

IMO you picked the wrong tranny to go into that car

But GL with your problems, those transmissions are notorious for being a ticking time bomb. I'd suggest going 6speed next time around.

Thx for the link; I had found similar info/links on other sites pointing to the same solenoids!
.... So I decided to FIRST check ALL of the wiring between the PCM & connections to the various shift/pressure solenoids [reason was I had to get new solenoids for A/T Pressure A/B & C locations ... missing C & broken connector on A solenoid on this used tranny!!]...... I had continuity to A/B Solenoid but found nothing to A/T C Solenoid; so continued checking others & nothing to Shift A Solenoid.......... turns out the end connectors on BOTH of these solenoids are IDENTICAL!!!! OMG Acura!!!!
Yes, turns out someone {???} had plugged the A/T C connector onto the Shift A solenoid, the other dangling waiting for me to replace the missing A/T C solenoid; and did I check that I was plugging the RIGHT connector onto the right solenoid?? So the PCM did not see any sensors [solenoids] that had failed or that they were incorrectly connected!!! Reason for the 1>2 only shifts & the P0780 CEL code on my car....... it now runs thru ALL GEARS w/no problems or codes!!!! I have now marked these connectors to match the correct solenoid. Probably not a solution for others, but something to check if that is the ONLY code coming up!

And like Aman noted, wish I could have found a 6-speed manual trans w/TL-S engine a year ago when I got this setup.......... but then around $4000 for the tranny alone was beyond my budget.
