02 TL-S doesn't start :(
I have a 2002 TL-S which doesn't start... and it doesn't make any sounds at all when i turn the key... i tried jump starting it, but it doesn't work eaither... all of the lights seem to work fine, no dim. I don't hear the starter cranking at all... I already went to PEPBOYS and bought the Bosch starter... but don't know how to replace it... this is the first time i am running into a problem with my TL in 7 month... could someone tell me what could be the problem... or how do i replace the starter??? or at least where is it located?
I really need help with that!!!
Thanks in advance

P.S. I am glad I found this forum! I used to own a Maxima and always went to MAXIMA.ORG where I could get all of the answers about the car... hopefully, this is the same kind of a forum

It's most likely the starter but don't rule out the battery. Hope it's only the battery (cheaper to fix). My battery was no good -- lights went on but didn't have enough to turn over -- jumping it didn't help, either.
im not getting involved with this diagnosis.
but i'll tell you how to replace the starter.
first off, disconnect the battery and the tie-down. remove the battery from the car Along with the plastic holder underneath it.
remove the battery tray, i think there are 6 bolts that hold the tray in.. they are 12mm bolts.
The starter is located on the transmission directly next to the battery tray. If you do not know what it looks like..refer to your new starter, inspect it and find the starter on the car.
there are 2 wires on the starter, pull the small wire off..the bigger wire, pull the rubber boot back and see a 12mm nut holding wire in place, remove the nut.
now the starter is ready to come out.
they're are two 17mm bellhouse bolts holding the starter to the transmission.. Now use your good ol' noggen to think of how to remove them, pull out your craftsmen tools and use your 1/2inch ratchet with extensions to get both of those 17mm bolts off of the starter.
then install in reverse order of removal.
