02 Tail Light Conv.

Sorry guys I know this is out there somewhere, I'm at work and don't have to much time, would someone please link me to a DIY on how to remove the old taillights on my 99 tl to replace them with DEPO 02 tl taillights??? I know it involves some fasteners in the trunk but I'm bad with those, there is a tool you can use right????? All the help would be good, I know it can't be anything difficult, also what bulb do I change????

First you might wana take out the flooring carpet piece in your trunk. Then unscrew the two knobs that are on the side walls of the inside of the trunk. Theres one on the left and one on the right. You also need to remove the plastic screws on the lip edge of the trunk, its that plastic edge piece by where the trunk actually locks at. After removing that piece, you now will be able to lift up on the trunk lining that lines the walls of the trunk. Just lift up on it to get to the left tail light and then do the same to the right. Once you have lifted it up and are keeping it up with your arm or whatever, your gona need to get a socket wrench or regular wrench and remove the 5 or 6 bolts there are that hold the tail light in place. Do that for both sides. Remember that when you remove those bolts, the tail light should just pull out nice and easy. Then put your new tail light in and reattach the wiring harness stuff etc. I'll also ad that before you pull the tail light out, you have to unplug the big wire plug that plugs into the tail light. I think theres 1 or 2. Dont remember. Anyways, not sure what bulb you need to connect or what not. I bought the actual OEM ones so i had everything i needed for the conversion. Good luck

Its not that hard, print out those instructions and take a walk out to your trunk. You will see EXACTLY what hes talking about and you will breeze thru it in no time!
