I have an 01 TL S-Type and my passenger side headlight went out during a heavy rain. I Must have gone thru some high water. I replaced the bulb which wasnt cheap and it still wont come on. Has anyone had this problem? How do I check to see if something else is damaged? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

 

might be your ballast, cuz we have HID's, never had this problem might want to take it to a dealership, by the way there was no type s made in 01

 

Well if your interested i have a 99-01 Acura Tl Ballast..Brand new never opened..I ordered the wrong part..

 

I guess its an 02, but the tag inside the door says 01, oh well. I am going to check out the ballast/inverter tomorrow to see if it thats whats wrong. How much do you want for it?

 

try removing your ballast and check for water inside. Some ballast do not have the rubber gromet around the ignitor connection and water could get in there. If there is water, put in the oven at 210deg for 7-8 mintues. Check if it works after it cools, if it does then put silicon around the connector so water does not get in there again. I had to do this last week but my lights were cleared out and had a broken seal (damn body shop).

But if you lights are not cleared and its still under warranty, then visit the dealer ... those parts can get expesive!

Also try swapping bulbs from left to right and make sure its not ur bulb.

 

umm they don't make a 01 type-s......

 

well if it is a 01, then I can sell it to you for 105 +shipping..if its an 02 then its a diffrent part.
