01 Odyssey

Hey guys I really hate to do this but I don't have the time to do a search right now and it's a very urgent matter as my younger brother is about to get taken by Aamco,

He has an 01 odyssey and the tranny blew. Is there a direct swap he can do with an 03+ accord tranny or should he stay with the Odyssey tranny for replacement. Needs to have a decision tomorrow so I hope someone can help with Direct info

Im going to assume that a no then since the swap would mean new ECU and wiring harness at minimum. Is that correct?

Ya may want to try checking out an {Oddy} forum for better info. IMO, I'd think that the "4spd" AT's from a Honda Accord should work, being in the same family.

Perhaps consider a fully rebuilt replacement with a good warranty ??? "Jasper"

^^ +1 on the jasper. That's what my odyssey has in it now. I called and talked to a jasper rep and he said all updates to transmissions are done and all internals are brand new. They weren't the cheapest priced but surprisingly not the most expensive either. It's been 3 years now w the tranny and its still going great. I've switched it from the Z1 (current Honda fluid at the time) to the DW-1 just to change the fluid and also ensure it will last one more year. 2014 I'm gonna buy a new Oddy and hopefully be done buying vehicles for a very very long time. (Please TL gods don't spite me)
