Hi All :

I guess over the winter my AC lost it's ability to cool air. The compressor engages as I can hear the engine RPM's drop when I hit the AC button. The blower works fine and the temp control also works fine on heat. I also can smell the faint oder of ozone.

I suspect that the refrigerent is low or gone which usually means a leak somewhere. Is there any DIY way to test for a leak ? I know there is a fill port behind the grill. Is there anyway to resolve this without going to the stealership ?

Go to a small independent shop or a place that specializes in AC systems and have them test the system. They can add a dye and look for leaks or recharge the system for you. You can easily damage the system by over charging it and isnt something i would recommend doing yourself
