That sounds easy enough, only thing is how effective is it with the halogens. I mean looking at the car you'll see the yellow, but how much does it hit the road?

You dont get any less light output, if anything just an 1/2" less. You can tell the difference between what ur low beams illuminate and what your fogs illuminate now.

I took the yellow film off two weeks ago, for the time that it was on, it was more green than yellow. Since I swapped the low beams with the Z (which has the 6000K now), I'm happy with my stock HIDs in fogs and in lowbeams on the acura. Maybe I'll take pics.

If you trim the base of the hid bulbs, you will get much more lighting output, which you currently have less than 50% of them.
Just wanted to let you know you can get much brighter light..
That's why people rebase xenon bulbs into 9006 or other sizes to have correct focal point.

When the focal point does not line up correctly, the light output may seem to blind other traffics, because the lights are out of control, since they are shooting from where they are not supposed to be. Lining up the focal point, will reduce this problem and you will not blind others like you do now, but you get brighter lighting output aiming on the ground. More lighting output doesn't mean blinding others, but correct lighting output on the ground. Hope this helps. just to let you know, I installed hid's on my fog without trimming them just like you before. After I trimmed them, I get much more lighting output and I can drive with fogs on only.

Hey, on the black TL bumper, did you put the grille on it? I guess that your tl is the silver one, but I think the black one relates to you somehow....
I'd like to get the grille, too.

Did you try maybe one layer of yellow and then one layer of black (if they have any) to hide the yellow? Don't know if it'd drastically reduce the output or properly hide the yellow, but it might look better than pure yellow.

I got it from downtown brooklyn for a few bucks. Also pearl paint in LI has it and pearl paint in chinatown has it as well. They all seem to have the same yellow film. I havent been able to find a darker sheet yet.
Fredrorn used two layers of the lamix stuff and it looks deeper than mine during the day and I assume a deeper yellow at night as well.
