White Volks on WDP 56k is a No No

Ok so the rims are finished. I mounted two of them to see what they look like. Again no car wash, and I didn't clean up the RAYS center caps. Too lazy to take them off and polish them.

I took them immediately off tho because I'm getting springs and shocks installed next week, and would rather wait to put them on then to see how it looks with a drop.

IMO, doesn't look bad. But I don't know if it's my thing. I might just sell these wheels to get other ones. Havent decided yet. I will post pics with these with my car dropped next week, but for now, enjoy!

White Out.........yeah it looks O.K. not great...........I think the white rims look great on the ABP. Was it expensive to paint them, maybe redo them before you sell them.

hhhmmmmmm, not the strongest lookin TL ive seen but those white rims look OK. Not great but ok. They just look like you took them off a Civic or somethin. IMO you could of chosen a better lookin rim then that. None the less good job

....the chrome lip would break up the whitl a lil....the real problem is that the car/body kit/rims all look like a different shade of white

yea if it was the same white it might have looked better.

i remember there was a guy who had abp and his rims painted to match and it looked decent.

its not my thing but it wasn't that bad.

This was exactly what I figured would happen (posted in your previous thread) The whites don't match up. It's not even close.

Looking at the first pic, your rims look flush with the wheel well ... be careful not to lower your car too much ... you will most likely rub (unless you cut plastic tabs +/- roll fenders). And yes, your car will look definitely better once you are lowered (if you keep this setup).

I can't tell the size of the rims ... I see you have 2 different types of tires mounted on the rims (Hercules + Kumhos). They look like 18" rims but I can't be for certain. So as long as you like your rims, be happy with 'em. Definitely no one has this exact setup (as least I've seen in the past 4.5yrs I've been on this site), so you're unique.

Just to answer some questions:

These are Volk Daytona Speeds. They were discontinued in 2004 I believe.

Wheels are 18x7.5 +48 offset.

Tires are 225/40/18.

Thanks for the comments, whether they be positive or negative. Feedback is always appreciated.

Like any color match wheel, it has to match exactly to look good. The fender guards have got to come off they don't look good on any color let alone white. They also trap dirt and moisture and lead to rust down the line. Finally drop that thing. You can rest a 40oz between your tire and body. The drop and guard removal alone will make the car look alot different.

ya, i was wondering what rims those are too. Looked like SF challenge cross over w/ TE37.... but man, you repainted the whole thing?? I thought the inside of the rim is not suppose to look like that, like the inside edge of the rim~

you have blacked out headlamps.. and whited out rims with a pearly white car.

i think it would look MUCH better if you got either hyper black or gunmetal rims.

is that the original finish??? i used to have the kuwagatas which are from the same f-zero line...silver spokes with blue inner rim and polished inner rim blocks. these were mounted on a white 02 and i thought it looked hot! i thought the white versions were only white on the outside (inner rim is still blue and blocks are still polished)...i think this would have been nice too. but i concur with those regarding the colormatch...just very difficult to pull it off without making the car or the wheels look "dirty" when compared.

I think it would look a lot better with black or gunmetal rims...that's just too much white my liking...and plus ur kit doesn't match the WDP paint of the car & neither does your wheels but hey if you like it
