I worked a deal out with the shop that did the work so that I'd be "advertisement for them. I ended up paying $12,000 but the true bill is $25,000. I needed the real bill for my insurance company. Best of all their installer left so I can no longer advertise for them.

Thanks!

It's the factory paint. I had a body shop spray it for me.

It ran me $200 for everything. Only thing is I removed all the parts myself and I taped the grill off myself.

Which part of the car?

The engine & grill painting was done at Unique Autobody in Sleepy Hollow, NY...it ran about $200. The stereo system was done at Audio Visions in White Plains...it costs about $25,000 but I worked a deal with the shop to be their "rolling advertisement" so I paid 1/2 that. Problem is their fiberglass guy has left them so they can't duplicate the work allowing me to make out like a bandit. The cross drilled & slotted rotors were custom made for me by EBT (Euro Brake Technologies) in CT. The window tinting was handled by NY Window Film and Signs in Elmsford, NY...I don't know their actual prices b/c I got a discount since I've known the owner for approx 10 yrs. The rims were purchased from National Discount Tire in Yonkers, NY...they run about $450 each. The Comptech equip. was ordered by my friend at the dealer so I paid dealer cost & no shipping and finally the intake I bought right here from Tim. All installation was handled by yours truly and my friend Jorge.

I think that just about covers it.

your system is extremely phat, but isnt $25,000 outrageous? even if all you paid was $12,000 that is outrageous.. i had looked inot getting an install 99% liek yours with blue fiberglass.. onyl difference i was using 3 alpine type r subs and 2-3 phoenix gold amps.. and the quote was for $4500 included equipment, labor, everything

LSonDubz, the one thing you can't see due to the removal of our sigs is that my system doesn't stop at amps & speakers. I've got over $9,500 in equipment alone. The run down of my gear and suggested prices are as follows (I appoligize for the layout but the list is long):

Zapco Reference 750 ($585) / Zapco Reference 360 ($450) / Zapco Reference 350 ($375) / Zapco Reference 200 ($275) / 3 JL 10W6 subs ($600) / Alumapro 15 Farad Capacitor ($550) / Focal Polykevlar 136K speakers ($498) / Focal Polykevlar 165K2 speakers ($653) / Zapco DAII-SL ($900) / Zapco PSI-HPSL ($110) / 2 - Zapco EQ30-SL ($920) / Zapco SX-SL ($800) / Alpine CVA-1006 ($1,500) / Alpine DVA-5205 ($1,000) / 8 Symbilink Cables ($450).

The symbilink cables in case anyone is wondering is similar to a S-Video cable that you'd use for your T.V. My stereo system does not run single RCA cable. The symbilink cables connect all of the Zapco amps to the other Zapco products for clearer sound and the Alpine DVA-5205 is connected to the Zapco DAII-SL via an optical cable.

The cost of the cost of the system is definitely abnormally high for an every day system. The reason why I went overboard with all of the gear is because I compete in some of the IASCA Sound Quality competitions and other shows in my area.

Great pictures, of a great car.

I was wondering about the brakes... Since the stock breaks are pretty weak, can you tell what kind and how well the your upgraded breaks work?

Thanks,

Mike Smeezy

After a long descussion with EBT and long search on their part they found that no one has rotors for the Type S yet due to it's slightly larger rotor. He spoke to his brother who is a certified brake mechanic and then suggested to me buying the stock rotors and having the patterns done to them. My 1st question was about their reliability and warping...he said that cross drilling and slotting the rotors actually strengthened the rotors. I've had them on the car now for a good 3 months and have had to make hard stops & soft ones...I must say the brakes don't feel stock at all...you'd never be able to tell the difference btw these rotors & KVR rotors.

nontheless your audio setup is phat.. and very clean.. just what im looking to do as well..

when i was looking into something very similar i had been quoted $4500 for 3 12" mmatts, 3 pg amps, pg speakers, tweeters flushed in the doors, extra battery, alpine flipout, fiberglass layout sorta like yours as well as neons.. thats the only reason why i said i think that sounds high to me

then another place with using 3 alpine type r's, mb quart speakers, and the rest pg had quoted me $4000

nontheless very nice love it

Thanks! Good luck with your system...for an everyday system you're setup and $$ is good.
