Are the two lighted parts (center ring and remaining area) separate circuits? If you really wanted to rice it out, you could rig a switch to illuminate the center ring when V-TEC kicks on...
Oh, the rice of it all!

Yeah but I don't like how the whole gauge face glows... kinda ricey IMO.
Thanks for pointing that out though.

shit i shouldve used that thin tape. tried using spray adhesive which would get everywhere, so i had to remove the f'ing Tach needle and clean it so i had to put the gauges back in w/o plastic cover and rev the car to 5k limit and jus take out and put in the needle to get it right spot.
i also have to take em back out sometime and jus get some adhesive under the inner part of fuel an temp gauge so they move smoothly.

Yeah, my fuel needle sometimes gets stuck a little above the resting position when I turn off the car. When I'm not feeling lazy one day... who knows when... i shall fix that.
should have followed the instrucitons myself and held it down longer

Just bought a set from ebay.
This forum is just like Warren buffet or any high profile investor, when they say they're buying a certain stock, the whole market buys that stock. Now that we have this thread about the gauges, everyone on ebay is buying indiglo gauges. I got outbid on two sets, then just finally did the buy it now option.
Pretty funny how that works. BTW, to all stock investors - i think the next stock Buffet is buying is enron. So stock up. :gheywave:

Whatsup man, i just noticed something in the Gauges DIY. The first 2 pictures with the white gauges on the cluster show that the needle was moved. The first one of these shows the fuel needle to be all the way up and the one after that the needle is back down to empty. Did you move the needles to install the fuel and temp gauge? I don't see how it is easy to install that temp gauge.

the power from the inverter goes to the back side of teh drivers side fues panel (circled in red) you winn need a female spade conector and it will slip right on.
the ground doesnt attach to the fues panel, it goes around to the front side of teh fues panel and attaches here

fsttyms1 - My question had nothing to do with redline... All I was saying was that I thought it was bad the put your foot on the gas when you are in park. I thought it was bad for the tranny. And I wasn't hijacking the thread; a simple yes or no would have done... ya don't have to be a dick about it man. Thanks though, aznballer.

when powering these gauges like this..
does the instrument cluster still blink on and off with locking and unlocking?.
also.
how do i know which prong on that connector is the power?.
it looks like it is a multi prong connector.

Yes there is a switch to go between blue and green but the green looks . Only the center ring changes color and the markings change from that nice, deep blue to a watered-down blue. Let me hop down and take a picture...
