Rims & Fog Light Mod

wasup guys I hope no one makes fun of me for this but I had my old set of Maxima rims laying around and my neighbor hooked me up with free tires so I decided to put em on for fun. There 2002 Maxima rims painted black (half ass job) and the tire deminsions are 225/50/17. yea i know nissan on acura blah blak but i actually think it looks nice, sits perfect on the car. I also just did the fog light mod thanks to this website. so lemme know what u guys think of the rims. (sorry for the bad quality, cell phone pic dont own a camera)

they look like chunky off road wheels and tires to me lol. i like the look but not as a daily driven wheel.

also, that tire size will throw off the speedo/odometer. it is larger in diameter than OEM. if you really want to use those wheels, you might want to replace those tires with 225/45R17s.

yup i already researched it, it doesnt throw it off that much, if the speedo says 65 its really going about 63 64, i had 235/45/17s on the rims before but those tires where thrashed because i was young and dumb and loved doing burnouts and stuff

I think he may be right here. Many maybe surprised by the outcome, but then again a slammed TL is hard to mess up.

Quick question... how does a 225/50/17 throw off the speedo? The sticker in my drivers door jam says recommended tire size is 215/50/17... and I was under the impression that a XXX/50/17 is the same diameter as a xxx/50/17

It is but the width measurement can also throw off overall diameter...
Looks good and best of all...FREE!

^ I'm pretty sure they're the same height. If there is a difference, it'd probably be very minimal, less then .5".

BTW, I like your avatar (Chuck is an AWESOME show!) and your signature Vman159
