i'm interested in looking at some pictures of what styles of foglights there are for our early second gen TL.. plus, this would be a nice thread to have for future references...

i would really help if you tell me the brand & price.... if there are also any modifications involved..

I kept my old bumper just in case I get into an accident with the Value Sport bumper. That way I will have a back-up bumper.

 

hey, what ahppens when you do wreck that value bumper.. and it's not your fault... will insurance buy you a new one??

does the value bumper come w/ it's own lip? say... you can't put the OEM front lip on it..? or is a lip sorta... molded in?

As far as the insurance goes, I highly doubt they will buy me a new one.

The Value bumper is a COMPLETE front bumper. There is no lip, just one whole bumper. And you CAN"T put a lip on it. But why would you in the first place?

I got it from a member on this board a long time ago. He ordered it from Japan. But he is out of business now.

 

hm... what did you do to your headlihs... look bluer/ brighter... did you just change the bulb??

 

I did change the bulbs. I have the 10K HIDs! It looks great at night and barely any light loss.

 

okay, another request:

looking at the pics, most am fog lights are rounded... does anybody have anything similar to the 02-03 , meaning something... rectangular / square..???

ofcourse, excluding the JDM bumper..

 

I have the H1 bulbs in the fogs. You can get them at any auto store or website. But I think the 02-03 fog uses a different bulb.

I got the headlight bulbs at http://www.autolamps-online.com/gasdischarge/index.htm

The closest match for the rectangular fogs would be on the odyssey. You will still have to make a few modifications to make it fit. I believe a member got it done but I forgot who it was.

 

i would love to see that pic... try to remember the member's name if you can.

 

I did a few searches and nothing comes up. It was pretty old so maybe the pic is gone now. Or hopefully someone has it saved somewhere. Maybe you can start a thread asking if anyone remembers the person who did the odyssey fog conversion. It's worth a try.

 

Snook789 had the Odyssey fogs from the Japanese model not the American one, and he had to do a little custom cutting to get them in....

How did you manage to put those on the stock bumper?

 

that you can only get if you do the JDM front conversion which means you have to buy the bumper and grille

 

That's how the stock TL's (Japanese version) bumper look like. Too bad they decided to take the fogs out when it was being built here.

Or you can always shell out big bucks and get the Value bumper.
