Rear window spoilers? Anyone?

hopefully i will have good news for you guys soon with a alternative roof spoiler for our tl's..its not the sarona or the m3 lip...looks like the sarona one tho..its off another car..but after taking some measurements off a few cars..i came up with something i think will work and look good..i might have to do very minor modifications to the edges,,but it should be a simple diy..and 50 bucks compared to 300..ill give it a shot..p.s when i had my integra i had a roof spoiler from a 96-00 civic sedan..worked awsome..just a lil research

the roof spoiler you see on my car is a abs plastic roof spoiler for a 06 civic sedan..modified to fit..it was a lil more work than expected..but i pulled it off
like i said..i paid 40 dollars shipped for the roof spoiler

this is what i did..this was alot more work than the m3 lip/roof spoiler mod..anyone that does not have basic knowledge of bodywork..or common sense will end up throwing this thing in the garbage.like i said you could get this spoiler off ebay..its for a 06-up civic sedan
1..when you get the spoiler you have to cut it bout a inch and a half on both ends..cut it in the rough shape of the edge of the window..i chose this spoiler cuz the contour of the civic back glass and our tl's are similar..plus it looks like the sarona one kind off
2..after you cut it.sand the edges till its the same shape as the edges of the rear glass..just keep test fitting it till you get it good
3...this is the most difficult part..you now have to build the side profile of the spoiler cuz we cut off the ends..jb weld is perfect for this..use it wet and you could mold and shape it anyway you want..plus when it dries its sandable like any other filler..this will require alot of test fitting and sanding..plus this is abs..fibergalss wont stick to it very good..after you get it where you want use glazing putty over the jb weld to finish..sand..paint..finish
all in all it came out ok...it didnt take very long at all..the longest part was waiting for stuff to dry so i could sand it..like i said to ..alot of test fitting,,taking it off..sanding..etc is required...i dont want to be responsible for someone doing this and it not coming out good..this is just what i did

m3 lip spoiler is just cutting the ends off where it meets the edge of the glass..it flexable..so you could apply it following the contour of the glass..you wanna cut the ends of at a angle so its somewhat the same shape as the corners of the glass..sand it a little cuz it going to be rough where you cut it..should take 15 min max to do this..i think the m3 lip spoiler looks pretty cool as a roof spoiler too,,just wanted to try this..no way i was paying 300 bucks for a lil piece of fiberglass..when i knew i could make something similar for 50 bucks

^^^will post some up tomarrow,,i actually took some close ups of the sides when i was working on it..but the pics came out like such shit..my camera on my phone sux ass..my sister took my real camera..even after i auto fixed em they probally will hurt your eyes..oh well..this is what it lookes like in the rough stages,,i made the whole side you see that looks pink

Are you accepting orders? I don't think I have the skills to personally do this. Then again maybe I'll just move my M3 spoiler up so that I can make room for the replica Mugen I picked up.

lol..this was just kind of a experiment..theres a few things i would do lil diffrent if i was to sell one.it would have to be 100% perfect..i saw a thread were a guy made a roof spoiler for a tl out a a accord roof spoiler..and i was like"i could do something like that"so i did..who sell rep mugen wings?
