Curious what thoughts you all have on body matching the front grill insert that was originally black. Let me know?

I think I may really like that on SSM. Can you take a further away shot? I want to see what it would look like when you're standing back looking at the whole car from the front.

I thought so. I like how it blends in nice. I color matched the interior trim as well. Take a look at my recovery album to see it.

Props man...Interior trim looks VERY nice as well...post a pic here so everyone doesn't have to hunt it down.

I might have to do this too...Did you have a paint shop match it for you? The grill insert.

I wonder how it would look with cleared headlights too

Yeah, had a mishap with a Merecedes and had to replace it anyway so I had them match everything including the engine cover. Whats nice is at certain angles the interior has that nice sparkle to it.

i was thinking the same thing. I would like to see what that looks like. I think the chrome trim kinda throws it off on all colors.

Agree...you are now officially the guinea pig. Do it and if it looks great you shall be praised. If it turns out bad, everyone will point and laugh like Nelson from the Simpsons.

Just kidding...it will most likely look good

I had them professionally matched with the body as with the front grill. As far as taking the doors apart? definitely sketch man the panels were molded in there and a pain to get back together and still make it look right. It was worth it though, I have not seen anyone else with it. The main cover was done at the same time too.

Interior looks good, I painted my interior trims SSM as well. I would defintely reccommend anyone who wants to attempt this is to use a soldering iron instead of a drill to get the door trim pieces off.

It actually looks good in this color and I think its because you didn't paint the mesh part where most of the ones that look bad do.
