Quick question, will the 99-00 OEM kit fit a 2003 TL??? I am about to purchase one and I want to make sure, thanks!!! I will post pics of the final product so you can see how Beantown gets down!!

I just ordered the OEM kit for $1135 shipped in SSM from Tim at Ray Laks. They have to paint the side skirts though.

Yea i just ordered a front lip from Tim in NBP. I thought i may be able to find sides and the rear lip for a cheaper price on ebay but i cant find crap. Anybody know were i can find the sides and rear lip? I know there was a member on here a while back that sold the kit in different colors

 

He raised the price on the kit? I got quoted for whole kit $833 shipped. Ended up paying about 500 since I bought OEM front + sides alone. Got the WW rear instead.

I've seen the 99-01 OEM lip on a 02-03 TL somewhere on here, but if I remember correctly, he had to modify the thing to fit since the fronts of both cars are different.

 

I think the SSM kit cost more because they are no longer manufactured in that color and they have to repaint a kit that is manufactured in a different color.

 

Yea, He had to paint the side skirts .... I'm assuming the paint and work is about $300 extra. The guy that paints for Tim is suppose to be a bad ass mutha faulker. Paint is guaranteed. I figured it would cost me at least $200 to get painted somewhere myself, so i just spent an extra $100 and not worry about it.

 

The paint is flawless. When I got my part it looked like parts off a new car.

it does look great on the car, but shit, I can make that G go a lot further other places.

sux that no aftermarket company replicated the oem lip kit like they do the oem spoiler. wussup widdat.

 

yea, I was debating on it too. but hell, I'm about to pay off my car so i just pretended like it was 2 additional car payments. Suprisingly, I also got approval from the wife, no way I would be able to sneak this one by w/o her knowing so I jumped on it like flies on fresh cow shit. i bought a used full oem kit for my 03 for 460 shipped recently...the thing is i gotta paint it to ssm, cuz its the blue. but no prob. my bro owns a body shop so he'll do it for me but the kits are fairly expensive...dat part sux

SSM is the color of the kit....SSM = Satin silver metallic and the OEM kit is better. Also were are you getting the kit for 500 bucks for? I just need the sides and the rear.

Do you guys know how well our warranty is? I have a 05 TL and the dash is already popping up above the right vent. I also have a rattle in the speedometer. Also what mods can I make to the car in terms of performance that will not void warrantly. Thanks

 

Hey peeps whats up? On ebay i found a guy that does sell oem body kits for 1999-2003 TL's. It is the whole thing factory painted. All you have to do is give him your piant code and he'll devilier. I bought one of his kits, and it looks great on my car. His name is Davidagoodrich. He is on ebay and his points are pretty high up there.

 

bought my kit from this guy like a month ago, got it for a nice price, really good guy to deal with, hes got kits on ebay like every week, try "acura tl kit" to find it..
